My mom forwarded something to me from a family friend with quotes about the New Year, including this one:
“An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.”
The stroke happened in February 2010. Call me a pessimist, but I'm really glad that 2010 is over.
